The Oscars seem to be receiving a much-desired boost from Kenergy. According to Daily Mail, acclaimed Oscar nominee Ryan Gosling will be taking the stage to perform the Oscar-nominated track “I’m Just Ken” during this year’s ceremony. The news was reported here.

Composed by Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt, “I’m Just Ken” is among the two Oscar-nominated songs by Barbie, alongside Billie Eilish. Also adding to the lineup is the Grammy-winning single “What Was I Made For?” by Jon Batiste, “It Never Went Away” by American Symphony; “Wahzhazhe (A Song for My People)” from Killer of the Flower Moon; and an honorary Oscar recipient, Diane Warren, contributes with “The Fire Inside” from Flamin’ Hot.

Gosling had kept mum throughout the awards season regarding his potential appearance on the Oscar stage. “It could be too risky to let me take the stage,” he mentioned earlier this month. “I’m not certain how that might unfold. Nevertheless, I am willing to consider it.”

He will be joining a prestigious lineup of actors who daringly performed their Oscar-nominated songs live during the ceremony. Amy Adams delivered a song from Enchanted at the 2008 ceremony, while Gabriel Garcia Bernal contributed to the Oscar-winning emotional track “Remember Me” from Coco in 2018.

Set to air on ABC on March 10 starting at 4:00 p.m. PT, the Oscars will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel. Here’s to hoping Gosling’s performance will be more than enough.
