Prepare to be furious over this update in the case of the Ohio father accused of killing his three sons, according to Perezcious readers.

As we have already reported, Chad Doerman was arrested in June 2023 after allegedly shooting his three seven-year-old sons Clayton4 years old Hunterand 3 years old chase — Type of execution with a gun in the family home. The boys' mother was also shot in the hand outside the home as she tried to protect them. The details of the murder are truly horrific.

What made it even more disturbing was that when police arrived on the scene, they found Doerman sitting on the porch with the rifle right next to him, the bodies of his sons in front of him. What the hell. Check out the shocking bodycam footage (below):

After the arrest, police said Doerman admitted to planning the murders – and lining up all three children to kill them with a gun. He has since been charged in 21 cases, including nine counts of aggravated murder. However, despite the alleged confession, he pleaded not guilty. But this case seems pretty cut and dry, right? Based on the bodycam footage and confession, there was no chance Doerman could escape. Well, there's been a big twist in the case that could change the outcome of the trial!

Accordingly PeopleJudge Richard Ferenc made his confession on Friday! Why? He concluded that Doerman's rights were violated not once, but twice, after police failed to inform him of his Miranda rights. Let's rewind. As previously mentioned, authorities claimed that the suspect confessed to the brutal murders during interrogation. But back in January, Doerman's lawyers filed a motion to suppress the confession, arguing that police did not fully inform him of his Miranda rights before questioning him. You know, “You have the right to remain silent,” all of that. They apparently continued to question him even after he asked for a lawyer.

That's what the judge decided at the end of last week Clermont County Sheriff's Office his rights violated. This means that prosecutors will NOT be able to use Doerman's statements that police received during the interrogation! Ferenc said:

“The defendant's Miranda rights were violated when the custodial interrogation continued after the defendant had unequivocally and unequivocally asserted his right to counsel during his testimony [the detective]'I'm waiting for a lawyer, I don't know, give me a few days and then I can talk to a lawyer and get nice, good answers.'”

With a crime this serious, you'd think the police would do everything by the book – like properly inform the suspect of his Miranda rights. Good Lord. But no. And now there's a chance this man can get away with it! Seriously, what if without the confession there wasn't enough evidence that he committed the murders?

According to court records, Doerman will stand trial in July. We truly hope that these three children receive justice for what happened to them. But it remains to be seen how prosecutors will cope without the confession. Reactions? Sound OFF in the comments below.
