The search for a missing three-year-old boy has taken a dark turn as police have now started searching landfills and rivers.

Early Tuesday morning the caretaker of Elijah Vue called the police and reported the boy missing. He was last seen around 8 a.m. at his home in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. Much of this case is being kept secret because it is still an ongoing investigation and law enforcement is not leaking much information. But we can say that it doesn't look good.

After the boy's mother was reported missing Katrina Bauer and a man who lived with them in their family home, Jesse Vang, were arrested on suspicion of child neglect. Accordingly WBAYElijah's uncle Orson VueHe suggested that something “bad” “might have happened”:

“We are very worried, we are all emotional at the moment. And we don't want to think about the bad things that may have happened to him, and we're hopeful.”

Oh no…

Even worse, after their arrest, the two suspects asked the boy's aunt for cash bail Linda Vue asked not to post bail – meaning they would be held so they wouldn't try to escape. She said the boy's mother and Vang were “prime suspects”:

“Right now they are the main suspects. Until we find out the truth about Elijah’s whereabouts, we want to make sure these two are available for questioning.”

Then District Attorney of Manitowoc County Jacalyn LaBre claimed this in court on Friday something It happened in the family home and the mother knew about it very well. The lawyer even claims it was intentional:

“She intentionally sent this child to the hostel for more than a week for disciplinary reasons. She was aware of the tactics used and the lack of supervision. That was an intention of hers. And on at least two occasions she provided false information about her whereabouts during interviews last week.”

In the end, both suspects were granted cash bail, with Baur set at $15,000 and Vang at $20,000. Both must appear in court again on Monday. Now it is Two Rivers Police Department work tirelessly to explore every possible outcome in the hope of finding the boy. Unfortunately, in her opinion, that's how it is Facebook Page, this is looking more and more like a recovery than a rescue:

“You may have seen officers searching areas such as local rivers and landfills and that is correct. We will leave no stone unturned. You will continue to see similar large-scale searches as we receive tips and continue our search for Elijah. Thank you to those of you who shared information. As we receive further information, we may contact you again for further assistance.”
