The documentary revolves around Ranjit’s relentless pursuit of justice for his 13-year-old daughter, who was abducted and sexually assaulted by three men. Despite the men’s arrest after Ranjit reports the incident to the police, his relief is short-lived. The villagers and their leaders launch a campaign to pressure the family into dropping the charges, making Ranjit’s quest for justice an uphill battle.

To Kill a Tiger is produced by Cornelia Principe and David Oppenheimer. The other four nominees for the Best Documentary Feature Oscar include Bobi Wine: The People’s President, The Eternal Memory, Four Daughters, and 20 Days in Mariupol.
